This week, the Senate Gubernatorial Appointments Committee, chaired by Senator Ron Richard (R-32), confirmed the newest members of the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ of Missouri Board of Curators. Julia G. Brncic of St. Louis was confirmed on Wednesday by the committee. Courtney Lauer-Myers, a student at the Mizzou School of Law, was appointed Thursday as the Student Representative to the Board of Curators. Jon T. Sundvold, a native of Blue Springs and graduate of the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ of Missouri-Columbia, was also confirmed Thursday by the committee.
After a third read, the House passed with a vote of 133-8. On behalf of the four UM ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ campuses, we thank Representatives Richardson and Cookson for their swift attention to this important legislation for Missouri higher education. The bill will not be sent to the Senate.
