Ӱɴý of Missouri Ӱɴý initiates nationwide search for UMSL chancellor; announces search committee members

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Ӱɴý of Missouri Ӱɴý President Mun Choi today announced the start of a nationwide search for the position of chancellor of the Ӱɴý of Missouri-St. Louis. The search will be led by the UM Ӱɴý HR Executive Recruitment team.  

Following nominations by UMSL constituency groups, Choi named 19 members to the search committee. Beth Huebner, professor of criminology and criminal justice, and Kirk Richter, alumni board member and a member of the Chancellor’s Council, will chair the search committee.

“The UM Ӱɴý’s commitment to the state could not be completed without the Ӱɴý of Missouri-St. Louis,” Choi said. “UMSL’s focus on student success, its community engagement and its commitment to improving lives are priorities that will attract a broad, high-quality pool of candidates from a national audience. I’m excited for the future of UMSL, the future of the St. Louis region and the future of the state of Missouri. Every university within the UM Ӱɴý is vital for helping the state move forward and tackle grand challenges.”
