Accounting Services is responsible for internal and external financial reporting including the annual published financial statements. The unit manages ÐÓ°É´«Ã½-wide audits with the largest being the annual financial statement audit. Accounting Services oversees financial transactions and reconciles all ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ bank accounts, investment accounts and debt transactions. Accounting Services provides assistance and guidance to various ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ departments as they evaluate business transactions, tax issues and debt financing. The unit processes accounts payable transactions for ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Administration, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Wide Resources, and ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Bank, approves vendor setup for all campuses, and maintains a capital asset database for ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Administration and ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Wide Resources. In addition, the unit collaborates with campus accounting, budget and payroll offices to design and implement applicable policies and procedures and related internal controls, to ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
